Here we reveal the secret of weight loss through yoga and what are the yogic asanas that help you in getting the desired result.

Once they start practicing yoga, many people wonder what are the postures to lose weight. And is that the figure that is molded practicing yoga is one of its main attractions for beginners.

Beyond meditating or quieting the mind while the person is sitting in the lotus position, there is a physical benefit: a more slender, flexible, toned body, and therefore a healthy organism.

Likewise, it should be noted that to begin in the practice of yoga, it is not necessary to have a certain figure or weigh little. Therefore, all constitutions are welcome and all can exercise their bodies to improve their health.

Benefits of yoga practice

As time progresses and the person creates the habit of practicing yoga several times a week, the body gets used to the activity. The most immediate benefits are:
o             Improved blood circulation.
o             Increase in energy and vitality.
o             Improvement of sleep quality.
             Psycho-emotional health

o             Stress release.
o             Better mood.
             Tension Relief

How do you lose weight practicing yoga?

Now, how do you lose weight through yoga? Very simple. Through muscular tension exerted in certain asanas or postures. When a yoga posture is put into practice, the body is positioned in a certain way and stays that way for a short period of time - from seconds to minutes. Thus, by holding the posture, the body is maintained in a state of tension in which the muscles contract.
In other words, yoga poses to lose weight are almost all of this discipline. However, the repetition of some can help us burn more fat.

To a greater or lesser extent, maintaining a posture, for a certain time helps to burn fat, activate muscles and tone the different areas of the body.

Of course, everything depends on the intensity with which the exercises are performed. In this sense, yoga teachers usually increase, little by little, both the complexity and the duration of the postures. In this way, the body has the opportunity to get used to the effort and develop resistance.
Weight loss will be experienced progressively. It should be noted that such loss may occur more immediately — or not — based on a personal diet. Yoga, by itself, does not guarantee that the person can lose weight if the practice is not accompanied by a healthy lifestyle.

The best yoga poses to lose weight

If you don't want or don't have time to go to a session in a yoga center, don't worry. You can exercise at home. You will only need 30 minutes a day - and a bit of tranquility and space. Remember: what really counts is the quality of the exercise, not space.

The main yoga poses for weight loss are as follows:

1.  This is one of the most effective slimming yoga postures, as it works simultaneously several muscles.

Pose 1. The Bhujangasana (cobra)

The position of the cobra is very simple to perform:
Lie on your stomach on a mat and support your palms at shoulder height.
Extend your arms to detach your torso from the ground.
             Bring your head back.
You can keep your eyes open at a fixed point or close them.
Breathe deeply several times. The important thing is that the back is always straight cobra

Pose 2. Virabhadrasana   ( Warrior )

This asana is practiced standing and strengthens the limbs:
Start by placing one foot forward and one foot back.
Then slightly flex the front knee.
Now, support the tip of the back feet.
Finally, raise your arms above your head and join your palms. Keep your back straight.

3.       Pose 3Matsyasana (Fish Pose)

The posture of the fish is basic in yoga. It helps a lot when our shoulders are very “pulled forward” (for spending hours in front of the computer) or the sore neck:

To perform it, first, sit on the floor with your legs stretched together.
Then, support the palms of the hands at the sides of the body (at the level of the thighs).
Bring the torso back (accompanied by the head) until the elbows touch the ground. The back will be somewhat curved.
Finally, hold this posture for a few seconds and slowly return to the initial posture so as not to get dizzy.
4 Pose 4.Sarvangasana  ( Candle Posture)

Perhaps this is a bit more complicated but, like the fish's position, you can achieve it.
This is one of the yoga poses to lose weight with which you will increase blood supply to the brain, strengthen your legs and work your abs :

Lie on your back with your legs together and your arms at the sides of the body.
Then, lift your legs so that they are perpendicular to the floor.
Thus, take your legs as far back as possible - the idea is that the tips of the feet touch the ground above the head. Hold the pose for a few seconds.
Finally, take a deep breath and return slowly.

5Vrksasana (willow pose)

With this position, you may tone your abs and promote balance.
                 First, stand up straight.
Then, rest your left foot on the right knee.
Finally, raise your arms above your head so that your palms come together. Hold the pose for a few seconds.
                 6. Growing Posture

The growing posture helps improve metabolism and strengthens the back and chest muscles. To do it you must:

                 First, lie on your stomach.
Then place your hands at the sides of the body.
Now, take the tip of your feet with your hands and bring your head back.
Finally, you will raise your chest slightly and take off your pelvis from the floor. Hold for a minute or two and return slowly.

Yoga is a discipline that, if being too demanding, gives great health benefits. Now, you know some of the most important positions. If you have not already done so, do not hesitate to start your practice and you will be able to enjoy all the advantages that it can provide you both physically and mentally and spiritually.
